Green Manufacturing And Recycled Shutters In Orlando

We offer window treatments containing some recycled material or are recyclable because we believe in sustainable shutter products. Not only are Polywood® shutters a completely recyclable shutter, but they are also made of up to 20% recycled Polywood content. We’re the only shutter company in Orlando or even America that does that.

Sunburst supports green products, designs, and buildings. We reuse any and all materials whenever it’s feasible. We recycle water that cools down components when they’re finished in the ovens. We reuse packaging supplies. We reuse shutter fragments – or regrind them and recycle them into new shutters. Each year we recycle hundreds of tons of materials.

When we prepare our window treatments to be transported to your house for installation, we put reusable corner pieces on the sides of the louvers and use minimal cardboard to pack up the shutters.

Non-Toxic Paint Finish For Shutters

The patented paint finishes we adhere to your plantation shutters are environmentally safe – and are even below the accepted volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions allowed. During our manufacturing method, none of our paints give off fumes. When we say our paints aren’t toxic, we mean it.

Polywood Shutters do not give off dangerous gasses – so you and your loved ones can relax and enjoy your window treatments.

The Only Shutter Recycling Program in Orlando, FL

If you ever want to switch out your window treatment styles, we offer a shutter recycling program in Orlando to keep Polywood shutters out of landfills. You simply have to remove the shutters on your own, and call our store manager, Todd, at 407-630-7011 to set up a pick-up. We will come get your shutters and reuse some part of them in future Polywood shutters. This applies to Polywood shutters only—we are not equipped to recycle other shutter brands.

This way, it’s easy to recycle Polywood shutters. And, together, we’re helping keep the environment green in Orlando.
