Not only are Polywood® shutters a completely recyclable shutter, but they are also made of up to 20% recycled Polywood content. We’re the only shutter company in Orlando or even America that does that.
Sunburst supports green products, designs, and buildings. We show our commitment by reusing our materials whenever it’s feasible. We recycle water that cools down components when they’re finished in the ovens. We reuse packaging supplies. We reuse shutter fragments – or regrind them and recycle them into new shutters. Each year we recycle hundreds of tons of materials.
When we prepare our window treatments to be transported to your house for installation, we put reusable corner pieces on the sides of the louvers and use the least amount of cardboard to pack up the shutters.
The patented paint finishes we adhere to your plantation shutters are environmentally safe – and are even below the accepted volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions allowed. During our manufacturing method, none of our paints give off fumes. We mean it when we say our paints are safe.
Polywood Shutters do not give off dangerous gasses – so you and your family can relax and enjoy your window treatments.
The Only Shutter Recycling Program in Orlando, FL
If you ever want to switch out your window treatment styles, we offer a shutter recycling program in Orlando to keep Polywood shutters out of landfills. All you have to do is remove the shutters at your own expense, and call our store manager at 407-630-7011 to schedule a pick-up. We will come get your shutters and reuse them in one form or another in future Polywood shutters. This applies to Polywood shutters only—we are not equipped to recycle other shutter brands.
This way, there’s no cost to you for recycling Polywood shutters. And, together, we’re helping keep the environment green in Orlando.
