The Best Custom Shutters, Blinds & Shades!
Proudly Serving the Orlando metro area

Shout outs to the latest Share Your Shutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters features two rooms in her home decorated with gorgeous new Polywood plantation shutters that beautifully accentuate both her home’s architecture and her own personal style.

Neutral Living Area With Shutters

Chelsey, who some may recognize on Instagram as Taste of Coffey, is a Boston-based interior designer who definitely has a unique eye for matching colors in her decorating. A quick look at her home shows how she combines neutrals and vivid colors for a look that’s warm and calming, but with an undeniable sense of flair.

She even has some advice for DIYers in Orlando and around the country:

  • Always have a color scheme. When you go about decorating a room, you’re always able to adjust colors to accessorize it. Try to utilize tones from either your interior color pallet or ones that will complement it.

  • Be flexible in your use of colors. I chose shutters that are vibrant white and most of my furniture is gray, either fabric or weathered wood. So I chose to add in splashes of color and white accents.

Decorated Room With Polywood Plantation Shutters

Not only does Chelsey have a great eye for color, but her use of space in her design is fantastic too. From the chairs she uses that guide the eyes vertically to the wall and her classic shutters, to her choice of shelving under the casement window, Chelsey’s space is fashionable, functional, and altogether cozy without ever looking overdecorated.

As our contest winner this season, we’ll send Chelsey a gift card to a great restaurant in Boston, in addition to having her designs featured here. To see her entire body of work, click over to her design site at TasteofCoffey.com.

And if you believe the shutters in your home look awesome enough to be our next winner, share them on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #ShareYourShutters. Let’s get another Orlando house to take next season’s prize!
